The Great Divide (it’s not just about Covid)

Families, friends, neighbors, and coworkers, have separated themselves from each other causing a wave of division in the Country. I am not referring to physical or social distancing which can easily be reverted, I am talking about the emotional bond that has been torn apart between everyone, including church members, support groups, and loved ones. This wave of destruction worked its way through our homes, neighborhoods, and communities growing in size as it made its way along the States creating a huge divide of our entire Country. This is not a simple disagreement about whether or not to get a shot. This is way, way bigger than that. This article has nothing to do with whether you should or should not be vaccinated, that’s not up to me, it’s your decision to make, right? Right! Well maybe not because there are some people who do not feel others should have a choice. They feel they are the only ones with the right to choose and everyone else should be forced to do so. That is an absolute fact. Let me explain. If you agree with the mandate, you are most likely vaccinated, correct? That means at some point you made that decision. It was your choice to do so, correct? Then what makes you different than everyone else? Shouldn’t others be able to make that decision for themselves just the way you did? If you are pro mandatory vaccine, you have most likely not given a lot of thought as to what that means for you and your loved ones. What effects will this have for your lives in the future.? Have you thought beyond Covid? Are you assuming that the control will stop there? Being vaccinated with this drug is a decision being based on belief. I was raised to respect the beliefs of others and that doesn’t just mean religion. But nonetheless when did we stop respecting each other’s choices and beliefs. Have you always felt that you should have the freedom to choose what you believe in but others should not? The freedom to have the choice is a law written in the Constitution which is the highest law of our land. This law cannot be changed, removed, or even amended by anyone. If you allow mandatory vaccination, mandatory testing and mandatory face covering, you are allowing our constitution and its laws to be ignored now and forever. You can change physical distance from each other, but this emotional distance will probably never truly be fixed and that is very sad.
